'Prez Sez' section is a review of recent events from the club president.
November 2009
Hello All!
November is upon us and hopefully we can dry out after a record setting
rainfall for October. This will be my last Prez Sez column as your President. I
have enjoyed serving the club. I will continue to help Laura with the monthly
newsletter next year.
Laura and I just returned from a sight seeing vacation to the Gulf Coast of
Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. The destruction from hurricane Katrina over
four years ago is still evident all along the coast there.
Don’t forget to bring your ballot for the club election to the meeting. The
votes will be counted at the meeting.
Also the flyer for the Club Christmas party is enclosed with your newsletter.
Please return it by the deadline if you plan on attending.
Our Club Fall Cruise was Oct. 25th to Cape Girardeau. We met at the Festus
McDonalds at exit 175 and departed at 9:00 A.M. We took Hwy. 61 south to the
Trail of Tears State Park, and then on to a buffet lunch at Port Cape Restaurant
in Cape Girardeau. The weather was nice but we ran thru a brief rain shower on
the way home. Overall, a nice day and enjoyable cruise. Thanks to Bob Lance for
making all the arrangements.
