The the Poker Run/BBQ/Club Garage Tour. on Saturday, July 22, 2000, was a big success. It was really cool seeing almost 20 Camaro's running down the road. A big thanks needs to go out to all of the people who helped make this a huge success. Thanks to the Ann & Paul Benson's who hosted, planned, and BBQ'ed. Also Jim Hairston, Rich Rohan, and Al Rothweiler who all let us take official "garage tours". Thanks to Mike Craven for supplying the beverages. Thanks to Keith McCord for the photos. And thanks again for everyone who attended.

Gateway Camaro Club was invited to
participate in Mid-America Holiday Parade
in St. Louis, November 25, 1999
They only allowed six cars and here they are!
First off, the Camaro Club of Kansas City, Camaro-Fest '99 show wrap-up. Seven club cars were in attendance. The KC show was fun for all, there was even attendance prizes for everybody. The GCC as a whole did very well at the show. Some of us made it early enough on Friday to go to the banquet at Station Casino-Kansas City. We were not as lucky at the casino as we were at the show. Jim H. had his "hoopty" camaro, well I guess it was a camaro, but it looked more like the ladies clothes section at Famous for a few hours. Why was Briann's clothes hanging from the roll cage? Congratulations to Mitch Shrum, who got best of show, two years running!
Meramec Caverns Cruise:
Everybody that went on the cruise had a really good time. We had close to 20 people in attendance. Seeing Jesse James and Lassie made the trip worth while. A special thanks goes to Lester at Meramec Caverns for providing preferred parking and cave tour discounts. Another thanks to Terry & Trudy Lupkey for setting up the caverns cruise. Sure was cool seeing a whole line of Camaros cruising down the highway (and a Mopar, too!)
